For this music video I really wanted to see what we could do with one simple concept. This was shot with 1 camera in front a treadmill. I also wanted to try at making a vertical format video for cell phone viewers.
Huge thanks to all the friends who were actors.

This was definitely a big step up for us in terms of production. I still directed everything but we had help from 2 camera operators.

On Halloween of 2022 I had a party at the mill. Over the course of just 2 hours we shot and edited this silly short film. It says "rough cut" but after watching it I decided not to do any more editing on it, as I wanted to preserve the fast passed improvisational feel.
Wasn't sure to put this in "music" or the "video" section but in the spirit of this site, I'll put it in both.
This was made towards the end of lockdown when local arts space AS220 has dedicated itself for awhile to hosting live music performances. While this set isnt technically "live" I did try to record a whole setlist in one go, and then sliced in some extra visuals to keep it engaging.
Its a short visual album about my experience trying to use VR to dissaccoceate from the horrors of Covid. Ignoring the constant news cycle and focusing all my energy on my pet rats and felling better about myself.

This was more towards the beginning of lockdown. It was heavily inspired by the band Sweet Valley who heavily samples old video games into heavy drum beats. I wanted to make a mash up of all the games I love while lamenting about the absurd work hours I was pulling while the world around me fell apart.

"Almost live from Quarantine in Rhode Island, Joe-Lou brings a short sketch pad, dripping with neon electric moods."
September 2020
I think this was the first time I made a music video that was collaborative. We set up a little stage in the spray area of my friends woodshop and shot this on some webcams. It was all I had access to at the time.

A very Nostalgic look back at my first time going to Japan, shot of a very terrible camera. This was a video I made about the trip.
I think this was 2008
My second Short Film I made in Highschool. It was just about feeling lost in my hometown, wondering if it would be possible to be myself with my surroundings.
